Our Design & Installation Process

Step 1: Site Evaluation

Every project starts with a thorough site assessment. We evaluate soil conditions for permeability and determine seasonal high water levels, using hand-dug or machine test pits as needed. We also review surface drainage patterns and identify nearby wells, streams, and other environmental factors.

During this visit, we’ll gather details about your project—such as building size, number of bedrooms, and intended use (residential, commercial, etc.). This information allows us to calculate the required daily design flow (DDF) and ensure your system is properly sized for your needs.

Step 2: Preliminary Design & Quote

Using the data collected on-site, we develop a preliminary septic system design tailored to your property. You’ll receive a clear, detailed quote based on this design.

Step 3: Permitting & Submission

Once approved, we complete and submit the full system design along with the required Record of Sewerage System (RSS) to your local Health Authority. This documentation is also necessary for your building permit.

After approval is granted, we’re ready to move forward with installation.

Step 4: Installation

Timing depends on your project:

  • Existing properties: Installation is best completed in dry conditions to protect soil structure and ensure proper drainage.
  • New construction: Installation typically takes place after foundation backfill and before final grading. Finished grade should be established beforehand—we can assist with grading if needed.

Most systems are completed within 1 to 5 days, and we supply all equipment, materials, and expertise required to get the job done efficiently.

Final Documentation & Certification

After installation, we provide a detailed “as-built” drawing showing the exact layout of your system. You’ll also receive a complete package including all documentation and an operation and maintenance manual.

We then submit a Letter of Certification (LOC) to your local Health Authority, which is required to pass final inspection.
